Meet Again in Ten Years

My friend J came from The Philippines. Last time I worked at Nanyang Technological University and she came to our school for training. Hence, we met. She stayed with us during her training. She was young and full of energy at that time. The most impressive thing I remember about her was when she travelled to Kuala Lumpur, she missed the last train and didn’t have enough money to stay in a hotel. Instead, she just sat the whole night in a park there. Since those days, we have moved on to other jobs. As a result, we lost touch. Last year, I suddenly received her message from Linkedin. She said she had just got married and they wished to come to work in Singapore. She sent one email to my previous account but it was bounced back. She finally managed to find me on Linkedin. Since then we reconnected back not only on Linkedin, but also Facebook and MSN. “Internet is indeed a good tool.” She said: “Or else, we cannot meet again anymore.” Unfortunately she could not make it last Oct as she suffered from a miscarriage. Now she has already walked out of this dark shadow and hopes to start her new journey by coming to work in Singapore. Wish her all the best and hope to see her soon!

We Met in Our Previous Life?

Today I went to AMK Hub to have my lunch. I met one woman there, who was about 60 years old. When she saw me having Korean cold noodles, she asked me whether I was a Korean. She also bought me some Kimchi. She said she was also staying at Jurong area. She hoped one day she could meet me again at Westmall. When I expressed my thanks to her, she said:”Not necessary, I enjoy chatting with you. You are just like my daughter.” Though I had too much Kimchi, it was all a bit spicy, and I’ve been trying to drink water to quench my fire, I still felt happy. Maybe we have met in a previous life?
